Leaving a Legacy the Right Way by David Meltzer of Sports 1 Marketing

Many athletes overcome large obstacles, doubts, and criticisms to get where they are today. Whether it's fighting for their race as a whole or proving their skills individually, it takes a lot of drive and commitment to stay focused on their goal. Various athletes overcome such great racial discrimination, poverty, or doubt that they make a change in more than just their sport.

The legacies many athletes leave behind are sources of inspiration for anyone faced with tough endeavors, these legacies must be told and told well. The stories of driven athletes are often converted into books, movies, and lectures. It is important that these tools of retelling such stories are top notch and fully expressive of what an athlete overcame.

To fully share their inspirational stories, athletes must find experts who can capture and justly share that inspiration. Sports marketing firms offer that needed expertise to properly distribute an athlete's moving life story to the general public. Since sports marketing firms work with brands and athletes daily, they know what is and isn't appealing to the public.

Not only are the obstacles the athlete overcame significant, but the portrayal and retelling of those obstacles are as well. Through media and marketing consultation, sports marketing firms know exactly what it takes to grab the public's attention.

Like any major project, inspirational sports stories need funding. Sports marketing firms not only provide the necessary consultation, but also an abundance of brands and companies interested in involvement. Any company would love to associate their brand name with an everlasting sports story.

This convergence of a brand, movie, and athlete that sports marketing companies are at the heart of, leave all parties with an even more reputable name than they began with. Finding a sports marketing firm for consultation and funding is a critical first step for anyone trying to inspire millions with their story.

  4. Michael, the Dave Meltzer at Sports 1 Marketing is different than the one who wrestles. Dave Meltzer of Sports 1 Marketing brings many years of experience from Leigh Steinberg Entertainment and with the help of Warren Moon Sports 1 Marketing looks at the sports industry in a new and interesting way.

  7. I don't think you could have outlined in a more effective manner, the importance of successful marketing and branding for athletes and coaches alike. As you highlighted, it is the retelling of the countless astounding stories of athletes and their accomplishments, which is at the core of buoyant sports marketing practices. It is essential for althetes and coaches to be supported by an engaging, energetic and hard-working marketing team to align them with brands and events of high integrity. With over three decades of experience at Leigh Steinberg Sports and Entertainment (LSSE), David Meltzer of Sports 1 Marketing exemplifies such traits in his day-to-day business practices. In a quote from the Sports 1 Marketing website, David Meltzer and his team take "great pride in partnering with exceptional corporate brands that have the same moral character and integrity that we believe in as our daily operating ethics." I would urge any individual involved in professional athletics to take a look at the current market for sports marketing firms and observe just how far above the competition David Meltzer and Sports 1 Marketing truly are.

  8. It seems like getting a sports marketing company to help make and promote your movie, and as David Meltzer Sports 1 Marketing mentions above it would be great to have people associate your company name with a movie about a famous athlete.

  11. There are so many great stories about athletes in the sports world, and it's nice to see a company doing their best to help make these stories heard. These inspirational movies are a way for sports fans to learn about the hurdles certain athletes faced during the course of their career. 13. I came across this article about the next generation sports fan. The next generation sports fan is a sports fan who consumes sports in a much different manner than the traditional fan. The "traditional fan" would primarily go to watch the action on the field, court, ice or arena.

But, the "next generation" fan consumes sports in a much different manner. Instead of just watching the on-field action, the next generation fan is constantly multi-tasking. They are also watching the big scoreboard / big screen as well as using their smart phone to text, Tweet, take photos, check-in, post to Facebook, etc.

The marketing avenues looks very promising for the next generation sports fan. Read the full details @ http://bit.ly/hRr3F4
